Winter camps are open for registration!
Mr. D's Music Club is excited to bring summer fun to winter break! We will host two Winter Break Camps that bring singing, acting, dancing, and art to a fun-filled week of creativity. Each week kids will work toward the end of camp performance for friends and family.
Camp at Mr. D’s Music Club is all about music, art, dance, creativity, fun, and friends. Not to mention singing, dancing, acting, laughing, trying new things, performing, confidence-building, and all-around silliness. We pride ourselves in offering children a stellar camp experience in the performing arts where every child shines.

WINTER CAMP Themes

Every camp week at Mr. D's Music Club has a unique theme. The theme helps us curate an eclectic playlist, inspires original (and hilarious) plays for the kids to perform, and fresh choreography for the dances. The theme also inspires our creative side as we design the stage for the performance.

December 19 - 23 - "Winter"
It's winter in Oakland! There's no better way to spend winter break than singing, acting, and dancing! This week's theme will get everyone excited to hit the imaginary slopes, grab a pretend sled or start a make-believe snowball fight. With fun pop songs, hilarious original plays, and creative dances, kids will delight in creating a memorable performance for friends & family.

December 27 - 30 - "Home"
As they say, home is where the heart is. This could be the city you grew up in, the apartment you live in now, or where a special relative resides. Home means something different to everyone; we'll explore this through great pop songs, acting out skits, and dancing with heart and soul!

*Feel free to reach out if your child is outside the age range. We would be happy to explore with you if the program would be a good fit for your child.
Mr. D's staff were so kind and welcoming to my child. The camp days were full and busy, but not overwhelming. My daughter had all of the space and the structure to make friends very easily. She was encouraged to try something new (like acting and role playing in front others!) and felt comfortable enough to do so. She came home on the first day and described what it felt like to be acting out a funny skit in front of others, except no one laughed. I was concerned that she might be discouraged by a very natural and common interaction. Throughout the week, I didn't hear her express an ounce of defeat or discouragement though! I can only attribute that to wonderful staff who I know made her feel very safe to keep trying as a performer.
